Trayvon Martin’s Family: Do Something Worth While with the Settlement Money

The Martin family must be devastated.  The idea of losing my child is mind-bending.  Yet, I take issue with filing more suits in this case.  The family has already been given a judgment of over $1M to be paid by the HOA in Sanford, and now they’re potentially seeking additional civil suits and possible FEDERAL CHARGES civil rights violations charges facilitated through the NAACP.  That won’t bring back their son – it will simply continue to paralyze and segregate our communities.  Why not take that money from the HOA, and start a CRIME PREVENTION / EDUCATION PROGRAM in the Miami School that Martin attended and HELP these kids stop their criminal activity (for which their son was participating and was recently suspended)?  Present these high-risk with mentors, guidance, scholarship opportunities, and chances to do NEIGHBORHOOD watches of their own.
